One of my favorite things to do at NADA is to walk the show floor and check out all the latest technology offerings from vendors; most of which are designed to help dealers sell more cars.
This year I was struck with a revelation. All this technology is becoming so sophisticated, you almost need a degree in computer science to comprehend what the products do, let alone how to use them. I can’t help but wonder whether most solutions dealerships are being asked to implement severely challenge the capabilities of the average dealership salesperson.
Certainly, vendors do provide training but take into consideration that the average turnover rate for dealership salespeople is 80 percent. It seems to me that to keep your sales staff technology savvy, constant training is required. In today’s demanding dealership environment, is that a realistic expectation? When selecting a vendor or any new technology solution, ease of use is paramount. A product might look seductive and flashy, but how easy is it to use and how intuitive is it?
At Flick Fusion, we understand that one of the biggest obstacles to creating and maintaining a video marketing program is the perception that videos are complicated to create and implement!
